About the Performance:

The play “Men in Ties and the Angel” is a comedy written by Avto Varsimashvili for the Free Theatre.

The action takes place in a police holding cell where citizens accused of various crimes are brought in. A young female lawyer arrives to defend them. Gradually, it becomes clear that they are not actually in a cell, but in a mysterious transitional zone, and that the young woman is not a lawyer at all—she is an angel. In this zone, it must be decided what awaits them: whether they will remain there forever or return back to life.
