The Maids

About the Play

The legendary play “The Maids” by the iconic French playwright Jean Genet is being staged on the Georgian stage for the first time. In Nika Tavadze’s production, a brilliant ensemble of actors brings to life a harsh story filled with intense emotions, love, and betrayal. The maids’ devotion and hatred toward their mistress—and toward each other—unfold a tale where passion drives them toward ruthless crime. Set in 1940s Paris, this story will leave the audience deeply moved.
