Midnight of Freedom

September 27, 1993. The final hours of the fall of Sukhumi.

Amid the apocalyptic chaos of war, a thirteen-year-old Abkhaz girl hides a wounded Georgian boy in a basement. Cut off from the outside world, they find themselves in an isolated microcosm, while hatred, violence and destruction rage beyond its walls.

Yet within this confined space, something unexpected begins to emerge: a profound human connection between two young people who have been placed on opposite sides of a conflict they did not create.

As the world around them collapses, their encounter becomes a story of humanity, courage, self-sacrifice and love — and a powerful reminder that even in the darkest of times, the possibility of freedom and light can survive.
