I see the Sun

The play “Machankali” was written by Ilia Chavchavadze in 1881, specifically for the benefit performance of the famous Georgian actress Nato Gabunia. The author adapted his well-known novella “Is a Man a Man?!” into a theatrical play.

This two-act vaudeville tells the story of Luarsab and Darejan meeting and getting married. Full of irony and humor, the performance is intended for audiences aged 12 and older.
