Matchmaker

The play “Machankali” was written by Ilia Chavchavadze in 1881 especially for the benefit performance of the famous Georgian actress Nato Gabunia. The writer adapted his own well-known work, “Is a Man a Man?!”, into a play.

 

This two-act vaudeville tells the story of Luarsab and Darejan meeting and getting married. Filled with irony and humor, the performance is intended for audiences aged 12 and older.
