Description:
"What did the Hyacinth do?!" – a puppet performance based on a story by the Georgian writer Iakob Gogebashvili.
The story follows a Georgian family: mother, father, and their only daughter, Keto. Keto’s carefree and happy childhood comes to an end when two strangers take her from her family home and sell her to a kind, childless family in Dagestan.
The performance, built around traditional Georgian musical motifs, portrays the remarkable transformation of Keto into a young woman and highlights the astonishing power of the song Hyacinth, which awakens memories of her lost childhood. The main character of the play is the author himself, Iakob Gogebashvili, who narrates the story directly to the audience.
