About the Performance

 

The play is based on Nodar Dumbadze’s famous work “Heladosi” and tells the story of an orphaned teenage boy who tries to find his place in a new environment while living with his aunt in Sukhumi. He meets a Greek street boy named Yanguli, with whom he often argues and fights. The situation changes dramatically when the Greeks living in Sukhumi return to their homeland, and Yanguli and Jemal become friends. Yanguli does not want to leave for Greece…
