

As in all comedies of Shakespeare’s era, Joe Fletcher’s The Spanish Priest unfolds two parallel plotlines that eventually intersect. In both storylines, comic characters play an active role.
The cult of personality is exposed so that people may feel relief and breathe freely. Society must know what and whom it believes in, what it has served for decades — truth, justice, or merely “little people.”
