About the Performance:
Based on Thornton Wilder’s play, Our Town takes the audience back to Tbilisi in the 1990s. It is an era when everyday life unfolds against a backdrop of poverty, power outages, uncertainty, and constant fear. Yet people carry on living: they fall in love, start families, dream, argue, and strive to preserve their dignity.
The stories of the Mdivani and Tskitishvili families tell the story of one city, several generations, and the people who often come to appreciate the value of life’s simplest moments only when it is too late to bring them back.
