Chinchraka
Giorgi Nakhutsrishvili’s one-act Georgian fairy tale Chinchraka, considered a classic of children’s drama, comes to life once again on the Small Stage of the Tbilisi Youth Theatre.
Chinchraka is one of the most beloved and well-known works of Georgian children’s dramaturgy, combining elements of traditional Georgian fairy tales, fantasy, humor, and folk motifs.
Blending shadow theatre, music, and circus elements, this visually rich production takes audiences on a magical journey filled with adventure, imagination, and laughter — a world where kindness, friendship, and courage become the greatest powers of all.
A terrifying giant threatens the kingdom. People, overwhelmed by fear and despair, no longer dare to resist. At this crucial moment, Chinchraka, a simple yet brave village boy who believes in the power of goodness, justice, and friendship. Together with Princess Mzia, he embarks on a dangerous and challenging journey, facing many obstacles along the way. Through courage and loyalty, they confront and ultimately defeat evil.
Both children and adults are invited to experience an unforgettable theatrical adventure.
