A love story set against the backdrop of the Russian Revolution in the acclaimed play "Nadezhdiny".
Yevgeny Nadezhdin is a young exiled revolutionary, intellectual and uncompromising publicist, an associate and main opponent of Vladimir Lenin, destroyed by the Soviet regime and deliberately forgotten by his contemporaries.
His beloved Melania Sevruk is the great-grandmother of the famous actress and rising Hollywood star Masha Mashkova ("For All Mankind", I.S.S., etc.).
The incredible story, developing against the background of the collapse of the Empire, was the basis of the performance.
On stage, Mashkova resurrects the dramatic events of the past, which strikingly echo today. The voice of Nadezhdin, sounding in the play, belongs to another star of theater and cinema Anatoly Belom.
Frenzied dynamics, a lot of director's tricks, special effects, shadow theater, animation, film projection. It feels like there is not just one actress on stage, but a whole troupe.
