Batumi Nobel Brothers Technological Museum was opened on May 17, 2007. It is housed in the building where located the office of the Nobel Brothers Petroleum Production Company, known as the “Batumi Office”, from the 1880s until 1917. The museum reflects the technological achievements when the city Batumi emerged as one of the leading transferring oil and trade centres on the eastern coast of the Black Sea in the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century – production of tea, tobacco and wine.
