Tour of Oldest Maps Collection in Georgia MAPPA CARTOGRAPHICA

Inscriptions on the old European maps, regarding Georgia, are as old as European cartography itself. Golden fleece, Kolchis, Iberia, Georgia, various Georgian kingdoms and towers – are only a small portion of what you’ll be able to find in the collections of Mappa Cartographica. Mappa Cartographica contains unique collections of XIII-XX century unique items, largest portion of which are preserved exclusively in our collection. Within the tour,

 

you will see both antique, medieval as well as classic European original maps that contain rich information about Georgia and Caucasus. The tours will be conducted within October-December 2026 by Director of Mappa Cartographica, Sulkhan Saladze.
