On August 7, Kristina Orbakaite's gala concert will be held in Batumi at Tennis Courts. The singer will perform hits and well-known songs in front of the Georgian audience.
Born into musical royalty as the daughter of pop icon Alla Pugacheva and Lithuanian artist Mykolas Orbakas, Kristina Orbakaite successfully stepped out of her parents' massive shadow to carve out an acclaimed, multi-decade career as a pop singer and actress. She first stunned audiences at just 11 years old with her powerful lead performance in the 1983 film Scarecrow (Chuchelo). Her raw portrayal of a bullied schoolgirl earned her international praise, proving her dramatic talent was entirely her own long before she ever topped the music charts.
In the early 1990s, Orbakaite officially transitioned into the music industry, releasing her debut album Vernost (Loyalty) in 1993. Her sophisticated dance-pop sound, distinctive vocals, and meticulous choreography quickly won over millions of fans across Eastern Europe, earning her a World Music Award as the best-selling Russian artist. Over her career, she has released more than a dozen studio albums, secured numerous Golden Gramophone awards, and was named an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
Alongside her musical achievements, Orbakaite maintained a thriving acting career. A graduate of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS), she starred in acclaimed theater productions like The Miracle Worker and struck box-office gold in the late 2000s with the wildly popular body-swap comedy trilogy Lyubov-Morkov (Love-Carrot). Today, she remains a resilient and celebrated pop diva, focusing her energy on international touring and bringing her decades of hits to audiences across Europe, North America, and beyond.
