Tbilisi Hip-Hop Festival

On October 17, Factory Tbilisi hosts the inaugural Tbilisi Hip-Hop Festival. The event brings together the core pillars of urban culture — music, street dance, and visual art — under one massive space.

 

🎧 LINEUP

 

• Talib Kweli — A Brooklyn icon and a defining voice in conscious hip-hop for over 25 years. Widely celebrated for his legendary collaborative project with Mos Def (Black Star), Kweli remains one of the genre’s most authentic, high-impact live performers.
• FLOHIO — A powerhouse from South London's new wave. She effortlessly dismantles genre barriers, merging grime, rap, and electronic production into one relentless stream of energy.
• TAHA — A leading figure in modern Georgian hip-hop; an MC whose expressive delivery and raw stage presence have earned unanimous acclaim from the new generation.
• Kay G — The unmistakable sound of Tbilisi: composed, steady, and sharp. Operating across the low-end frequencies, his flow commands maximum volume.
• Mush One — Hip-hop rooted in urban authenticity. Guided by the timeless rule — beat first, lyrics next — Mush One fuses boom-bap aesthetics with jazz-hop undertones and razor-sharp lyricism.

Tracing hip-hop back to its roots in Jamaican soundsystem culture. Georgia's first authentic rig, Sioni Hi-Fi, teams up with pioneering Tbilisi selector Juno Q Beat to deliver classic dub selections, boom-bap staples, and pure analog sub-bass weight.

• Producers Beat Battle | Presented by McDonald's

The beat is the foundation of hip-hop, yet its creators often remain behind the boards. Country-leading beatmakers step into the spotlight for a live 1v1 showdown judged by industry veterans.

• Red Bull Dance Your Style — THHF Edition

 

The premier global street-dance platform built entirely around freestyle improvisation. 8 dancers clash 1v1 to unpredictable crossover tracks, with the crowd deciding the victor using red and blue voting cards.

• Graffiti Battle

 

Graffiti stands as an essential pillar of hip-hop culture. Writers go head-to-head (1v1) in a tournament format across two massive walls, with just 10 minutes to execute a piece based on an on-the-spot keyword. (Registration begins at 12:00)

• 📸 Photo Exhibition: “50 Iconic Moments of Hip-Hop History” — A retrospective celebrating five decades of culture-defining imagery, pivotal breakthroughs, and landmark figures.
• 🎬 Cinema Lounge (12:00 – 18:00) — A dedicated theater screening a continuous curation of documentaries spotlighting global and local hip-hop history.
• 🍔 Food Court & Chill Zone — A curated lineup of food pop-ups, cocktail bars, and interactive activity hubs open all day.
