Giorgi Koberidze’s musical work „Forests, Tales, Cities, Forests“ was created for cinema halls, although it has no image. For two hours and 40 minutes, the listener sits in a dark cinema hall where nothing can be heard except the music.
The work was developed over the course of three years, and the compositional techniques used in it are closely related to those of film music. Therefore, it can be described as cinema music without cinema. The form of the work is likewise close to cinematic dramaturgy, in which the listener encounters sonic characters, stories, and places.
