1984

1984 was founded in 2021 at its original location — Leselidze Street, in Old Tbilisi.

We can say that the seed of the jazz club idea and its realization was planted and nurtured by 1984, taking it to the next level. The social, musical, and cultural explosion in Georgian jazz has been largely shaped by us.

The residents of 1984 are among the best and most experienced musicians in the country.

In addition to daily jazz (7 days a week), we host jam sessions on Fridays and Saturdays, where aspiring musicians can join in and express themselves on stage.

1984 also frequently features artists from other genres, such as conceptual electronics, pop, and rock.

Stephane, Green Room, Nikakoi, Nini Nutsubidze, Beka Gochiashvili & Temuriko Diasamidze, Nino Katamadze, and others have performed live at 1984 more than once.

We also host performances by international musicians — Ari Hoenig, Sean Searight (Ghost Note), Bela Mainberg (Germany), DDT Jazz Project (instrumentalists from DDT), and artists from Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, England, and beyond.
